MIDFIELDER Steve Adams has become the sixth player to be currently loaned out by Torquay United – the former Plymouth Argyle, Sheffield Wednesday and Swindon Town player has followed Plainmoor teammate Lee Hodges to Truro City on a three-month deal.

Adams, 29, joins Matt Green, Mustapha Carayol, Michael Brough, Ben Joyce and Hodges on loans at other clubs.

Im not generally one for being controversial, but what you wrote Doug just goes to show how little you know about football... When you sign a player (and Buckle has been forced to sign a good few because of Roberts asset stripping) you can only go on prior knowledge available. Rice, Brough and Adams had all been good players, the latter two having played in the league, so are you telling me that he should have known they would not prove successful? How can any manager know? Are you also saying that Buckle deserves no credit for signing excellent players like Poke, Bevan, Todd, Nicholson, Hodges, Hargreaves, Wroe, Stevens, Carlisle, Sills, Benyon, Ellis and others? What kind of devil manager would even dream converting a pretty good midfielder into a cracking right back in the form of Mansell? He is obviously a maniac... Is none of this good enough for you? Should he be sacked because a few players havent worked out? Do me a lemon! You have to be insane not to have anything but absolute gratitude to Buckle and the players (even those who havent had the desired impact) because they have collectively got us out of the Conference and have given us something to be proud of again!! Ingratitude like this infuriates me! If you are reading this Bucks, all those fans with half a brain salute you and the efforts of the team and the magnificent Directors. I am so, so proud to be a Torquay United fan!! TORQUAY TILL I DIE!!!

Quote Doug Aldrich:"Then loan them out to sides where they'll only go backwards playing in a lesser standard of football." I assume you mean in the way Mark Ellis did?

Well well, I think that those doubting PB are a little hot off the mark. He has brought in the entire squad, except Robertson, with the aim of getting int the league in 2 seasons, which he achieved. It has been a tough start to the season, but not without hope, and I am confident that it will get better. Many comment on the lack of right back cover, I would like to see Mansell as cover, with a better version coming back. He is a weak link. Secondly, Hargreaves is too heavily relied upon and he is now struggling for mobility. I have seen very little of Adams, but believe he is a similar player with more years left, so if he is not deemed good enough, then we need a good replacement. Thirdly, I would like to see a continuation of the Sills Benyon partnership as it always looks impressive, no one can handle Sills entirely, regardless of the standard of opposition. And, if the outgoing loanees are not good enough, then cash in on them!

Some funny talk on here... The manager has signed all players, he simply can't play them all at the same time. Maybe he should only buy 11 players and play them every week? He can then fill the bench with youth and loan players. The players and manager are committed and don't drop their heads in these difficult times. Confidence is growing and a win is on it's way.

I don't know about Mr Angry, more like Mr knows nothing. Paul Buckle is doing a good job under very difficult circumstances and anyone with half a brain can see we are going in the right direction. Paul you have got it spot on with these decisions and hopefully will be allowed to bring in a couple of new recruits. As for the Drug Alderdick comment, why did he sign these players, name me one manager who never made a mistake in his signings. Ray you must be living in cloud cockoo land if you think the board are holding back money from last season. They must be jumping up and down at that comment, as collectivley they had to pump in 370.000 to keep the club solvent last season. Well done the players, paul Buckle and the board, things are starting to shape up just nicely, hopefully soon we can put two fingers up to the negative doubters

Mr A, I disagree. I would sell him! He signed all these guys! Why, if they aint good enough?!? Then loan them out to sides where they'll only go backwards playing in a lesser standard of football. As for Green not being able to score.....he's done ok this season. I'm not a fan of Buckle, but it's nice that someone trusts him.....not sure everyone would....nudge nudge, wink wink!

Dont be stupid!! Who out of the ones that have gone on loan or left would you have kept? Adams, Rice and Brough with respect have not been effective signings at all. Green couldnt score, Carayol wasnt as effective as he should have been and is too easily bullied off the ball, Joyce is a youngster who needs the experience for the future and Hodges (who is the best from this group) is getting towards the end of his career... Buckle is doing what most of us would have done quite a while ago... Now to bring in a back up right back, a central midfielder as priorities and the rest i will leave up to Buckle. I trust him totally... TORQUAY TILL I DIE!!
