GULLS boss Alan Knill has confirmed for the first time that midfielder Damien Mozika is training with Torquay United on a planned comeback from injury.
The 26-year-old Frenchman, who played under Knill at Bury and Scunthorpe, has been sidelined since January when he sustained a hamstring tear in a 0-0 League One draw between Scunthorpe and Shrewsbury.
Knill went to Paris during the close-season, when he had talks with Mozika and ex-Hereford and Reading striker Mathieu Manset, who has since joined Coventry City.
"It's been a long road back for Damien," said Knill.
"He's starting to make real progress with his fitness now, but we're still a little way off him playing a match or us talking about anything definite for the future."
