THE annual River Dart Raft Race is taking place this morning (Sunday).
The race, also known as the River Dart Struggle, sees hundreds of participants in two to 10-man teams paddling and pushing their homemade rafts seven miles from Buckfastleigh to Totnes.
The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Totnes as a fun way of raising money for local charities.
The first rafts were despatched at 9am and the last crew was expected to take to the water an hour and a half later.
