TORQUAY super-heavyweight Harry Armstrong took a unanimous decision over Marcus Edwards when he fought at Caermathen ABC's show recently.
Edwards, representing the host club, was a short, stocky fighter, but was caught by Armstrong's counter-punching on a number of occasions.
Armstrong rocked his opponent several times over the 3x3-minute contest, but did not send him to the canvas.
Edwards came forward swinging on more than one occasion, but ended up being caught himself and was left with a bloody nose by the end.
"I was happy with my performance," said Armstrong.
"I sat back and boxed well.
"I've changed my style to slow my feet down and put a bit more power in my punches – and it worked well."
Armstrong is next in action on Friday, May 2, when he fights on the Devonport ABC show at Plymouth Albion RFC.
