FLANKER Alex Mulholland cashed in with two tries as Brixham U15s defeated Torquay for the second time this season.

Torquay headed for the back pitch at Astley Park confident of avenging their first defeat –and promptly went 5-0 up.

Brixham quickly realised they may have underestimated Torquay and were going to have a contest on their hands as the Tics had some big lads in the pack.

The Fishermen attacked through wing Eliot Smith who was forced out near the corner flag. Brixham won the line out back and Jacob Churchill raced over for a try.

Torquay were penalised from the restart, Mulholland tapped and went and the ball found full-back Jack Brown with the line ahead.

Smith went in for a try that Kieran Avery converted for 17-5, although by half time Torquay had pulled a try back.

Mulholland was first over for Brixham after the break, capitalising on good work by Brad Langdon.

Mulholland, Ben Weedon and Oliver Cook were all involved in a try for Rob McLeod.

Finally, Smith ran and Mulholland stormed over for his second.

BRIXHAM U12s turned in their best performance of the season so far to beat Torquay 49-7 and make it four wins on the spin.

Centre Sam White dotted down after five minutes and sorted out the conversion as well.

A first try for Aiden Ivey through some lovely handling put Brixham two tries clear. White punished poor tackling to score and convert.

By half time White had completed his hat-trick and kicked the conversion for a 28-0 lead.

Turn-over ball led to a try by Jordan Blondrage. White converted that try and others by himself and Will Caine as the scoreline mounted.

TEIGNMOUTH U14s had too much in the tank for Stonehouse Sharks, running out 40-17 winners.

Ben Horill, Tom Masters, Ethan Redgers, Dan Woolnough and Jason Jervis (2) all scored tries. Masters added five conversions.
