SEVERAL businesses in the Bay have been awarded the highly sought after 2014 Certificates of Excellence from top travel review site TripAdvisor.
Torre Abbey Historic House and Gardens has been recognised as a top performing attraction on the world's largest travel site. Cllr Dave Butt, executive lead for Culture and Arts, said "With the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence based on customer reviews, the accolade is a remarkable vote of confidence to our business and our continued commitment to excellence. We strive to offer our customers a memorable experience, and this accolade is evidence that our hard work is translating into positive reviews on TripAdvisor."
Cayton House B&B in Morin Road, Paignton, run by Stuart and Joanne Clarke was awarded the accreditation for its 5* out of 5* rating. The B&B has only been open two years and has also won the 'Simply the Guest, top-rated award 2013' from Laterooms. Always commended for going that extra mile, Joanne and Stuart pride themselves on the food they provide and the atmosphere they create. There are 10 different options to choose from at breakfast and the majority of food is organic and locally sourced from Gribbles Butchers.
The Beulah Holiday Apartments in Torquay received its award in the speciality lodgings section. Caroline Perry said: "Winning gives us great satisfaction knowing our guests are thoroughly enjoying their stay at the Beulah. With 50 per cent of our guests returning each year, we know that people still love Torbay, appreciating its scenic beauty and all it has to offer. We'd like to thank all of our past guests who took the time to complete a review."
The accolades, honouring hospitality excellence, are only given to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on the website.
