THE record summer sunshine has allowed the Kingskerswell bypass contractors to make good progress throughout the site.
The dual carriageway between Penn Inn and Hamelin Way remains on target for completion in December 2015.
However, a spokesman for Galliford Try said the long dry spell of weather has brought its own problems as dust has been a concern for some residents.
She said: "We do constantly monitor the situation and respond with water bowsers circulating the site to keep dust nuisance to a minimum."
In the north section piling will begin shortly within Penn Inn roundabout and work begin to excavate earth adjacent to the piles at Aller revealing the width of the new link road in that area.
The Penn Inn underpasses will remain open at all times during the work. There is a possibility of overnight operations taking place in Sainsbury's over two nights this month and further details will be announced.
In the southern section one of the best vantage points to see the road's progress is from the new car park at Maddacombe Road, Kingskerswell. This shows the Yon Street diversion taking shape and views towards Hamelin Way in Torquay. The Yon Street temporary diversion is due to open later this month.
