IF YOU are away this Christmas but still want to celebrate and enjoy the singing of carols, then go along to the Methodist church in Palace Avenue, Paignton.

The first carol singing is being put on by the Sue Ryder charity on Friday, December 7, at 7pm.

The music will be provided by Classic Breeze under the baton of David Bourne.

A spokesman said: "This is a wonderful opportunity to support Sue Ryder who do so much good work in the community."

A Barn Nativity service will also take place at Occombe Farm on December 21 at 3.30pm. It is being produced by Methodist Churches of Torbay. A spokesman said: "See the nativity come alive in a real barn." The farm shop will be available for hot drinks after the service.
