TORQUAY United secured their first win of the League Two season at the fourth attempt - but they had to come from behind at Northampton Town to do it.
Jordan Chapell was the hero of the hour, scoring two goals in six second-half minutes to send the Gulls home happy.
Jacob Blyth had put the Cobblers ahead in the 30th minute, following a pass from Danny Emerton, and that was how it stayed until the final quarter of the match.
Chapell then made the most of two scoring chances, slotting right-footed past Matt Duke in the Northampton goal following a pass from fellow forward Karl Hawley in the 72nd minute.
Just six minutes later he was at it again, this time making the most of an assist from Billy Bodin, just six minutes later.
Gulls manager Alan Knill then made the most of the forward options on his bench to bring Niall Thompson on for Chapell and Elliot Benyon for Hawley as his side saw the game out.
The win moved Torquay up to 13th in a fledgling League Two table.
