YOUNGSTERS at Watcombe Children's Centre Nursery have been enjoying the great outdoors.
They have spent the week playing outside and even slept in a tent before picking their own produce from the vegetable garden.
The aim of outdoor week was to promote outdoor play and a healthier, more active lifestyle among the children.
Scott Hunter, nursery spokesman, said: "We have been picking and eating lots of vegetables all summer long in our lottery-funded organic vegetable garden and we also made a big stir fry for our tea on a camping stove.
"The children picked courgettes, runner beans, broad beans, French beans and cabbage and then chopped them all up."
The aim of outdoor week was to promote the benefits of getting outside and enjoying a healthy lifestyle.
