TORBAY'S Children's Week ended with a bang after an amazing firework display marked the end of festivities.

The festival on Paignton Green hosted a variety of events for children including entertainment, competitions and arts and crafts.

The event was made possible thanks to funding from local businesses, including Inter-Line building supplies who made it possible for the event to host a fireworks display for the first time.

A spokesman for Inter-Line said: "With Children's Week funding under threat, Inter-Line building supplies were happy to sponsor and take part in what can only be described as the best Children's Week ever, to show the Bay how important it is to keep a local event going each year. With fun and messy madness all week it was something not to be missed.

"Inter-Line's mascot Eddie was around all week joining in with the Children's Week team and all the special guests who appeared.

"Saturday saw Titan the robot performing with Inter-Line and Sonic Fireworks ending the event with a huge spectacular firework display.

"Inter-Line would like to thank Caterfood, Leisure 2000, Palm 105.5, Titan the Robot, Mr Frosty Ice Cream, Castle Barton Catering and everyone else for their support."
