PAIGNTON based Trade Counter Direct, the international online tool store, has opened its doors to local customers with a new Click & Collect service.

Click & Collect is fast becoming the delivery method of choice for online shoppers with 79 per cent of consumers opting to collect their online orders.

As an online supplier of 35,000+ tools for the construction industry, Trade Counter Direct's customers are busy trades people for whom time is literally money.

Reid Archer, director at Trade Counter Direct based at the Yalberton Estate, said: "In a world where the customer is king, convenience must be his queen. Business news has been dominated over the past few years by the decline of the high street and the rise of online shopping. However, it appears that a new direction has emerged in which the two adversaries are coming together to find a mutually beneficial common ground with Click & Collect.

"We are always looking to make life easier for our customers. Opening our own warehouse for a Click & Collect service is just the first step. We are actively seeking retail partners around the UK who are interested in a mutually beneficial arrangement. We're working closely with our sister company Select Products in a bid to bring their customer base of traditional independent builders merchants together with Trade Counter Direct to offer our customers a national Click & Collect service."

Trade Counter Direct.com (or TCD) is a part of the ever-expanding Select Group of Companies Ltd, a family-owned business successfully supplying the construction and DIY sectors since 1988.
