A SHOP awareness campaign for dementia sufferers has been launched in Paignton.
Campaigner Norrms MacNamara, founder of the purple angel campaign has joined with online care services website Ostrichcare.
The online firm, set up by businessman Laurence Kelly, has donated 10,000 Purple Angel stickers for shops nationwide to display in their windows, showing they are aware of the special needs of shoppers who suffer from dementia.
Norrms launched his national campaign at Property Ladder in Hyde Road, Paignton.
It comes as Norrms highlighted dementia at an awareness day hosted at St Anne's Hall, Babbacombe, Torquay.
In attendance was Bay MP Adrian Sanders and Cllr Ray Hill.
Norrms has also taken the work of the Torbay Dementia Action Alliance to a conference in London.
He joined experts for the Living with Alzheimer's round table event.
Among them were Alzheimer's charities, care providers and dementia campaigners.
