CONSTRUCTION consultants Haldons Ltd has celebrated its tenth anniversary with an expansion of the company.
The company, which has offices in Torquay and Exeter, has beaten the odds of the economic recession with an increase in turnover year-on-year, an expansion of the team and launch of a new range of services in the property law sector.
Mark Coton started as a sole trader working from home in 2003 with his wife, Maria. Haldons now employ six members of staff.

The professional team of chartered surveyors currently offer services including architectural, project management, quantity surveying, building surveying and CDM co-ordination.
Dave Pollock, principal surveyor, will enhance the company's services with over 20 years' experience and specialist knowledge in property law.
Dave said: "I worked as a building surveyor and head of statutory compliance for nine years with a local authority and before that with a national consultancy. I'm looking forward to this new challenge and feel excited about offering something new to our existing customers and opening the door to a new market which includes compliance audits with statutory standards on potential and existing premises including commercial, education and healthcare."
Simon Buchanan, building surveyor, has also recently joined the team and will strengthen the professional services department which undertakes building surveys, home buyer reports and all traditional surveying duties.
Recent projects within Torbay include the Multi-Use Sports Hub for Paignton Community & Sports College, an extension to Torre School and a new surgery for Pembroke House Surgery, Paignton.
