THE body of a non practising barrister was identified by the three hospital wristbands he was wearing, the coroner has been told.
Andrew John Nickolls, 49, was found in his flat at Ivatt Road in Dartmouth on October 4.
His badly decomposing remains were identified by the wristbands and details held on hospital computer records.
The Torbay and South Devon coroner has opened an inquest into his death.
The opening was told that Mr Nickolls was born in Beckenham in Kent.
The exact cause of his death has not been established but there are no suspicious circumstances.
Coroner Ian Arrow adjourned the inquest to a later date.
