ROWCROFT Hospice wants 1,500 women to grab their glitter and most colourful clothes and sign up to the 2014 Sleep Walk.

Registration opens today and with a fantastic early bird offer and places are sure to fill fast.

The walk, taking place on Saturday, July 26, aims to raise funds for the Torquay hospice and is one of the largest walks of its type.

The theme for this year's walk is carnival and the walk organisers will be bringing the buzz of Brazil, the sounds of samba and the rhythm of Rio to South Devon.

Barbara, the Sleep Walk's cuddly mascot raised a Baaa-llini cocktail at the launch of the walk.

She said: "I am looking for 1,500 lovely ladies to join my flock and enjoy what will be the best night of the year. I will be counting sheep until the July 26 when I can welcome the ladies to my all new Rio Retreat along the route, where rain or shine, walkers will get a taste of Brazil."

The year's walk includes two great new routes of five or 10 miles, and in response to popular demand, the age limit has been lowered to ten.

The Sleep Walk has raised more than £500,000 for the hospice since it began in 2011.

Sign up at www.rowcroftsleepwalk.org — and if you use the exclusive Herald Express promotional code you will receive £5 off the usual registration fee of £15 plus a free aerobic class at the Riviera International Centre. See pages 42 and 43 for full details.
