THE South Devon Export Network is being launched as part of the South Devon Enterprise Week which takes place from November 18 to 22.
Organised by Torbay Development Agency, with support from UK Trade & Investment, it is a new platform for local, like-minded business people to exchange information and knowledge about trading internationally.
The group will meet four times a year, and attendance is free.
The format will be an informal seminar style and will include short presentations from export professionals about overseas markets and other export related subjects and a local exporting business case study followed by networking opportunities over light buffet refreshments.
The intention is to provide and exchange up to date information objectively, thereby creating awareness of overseas opportunity to inspire businesses to trade internationally.
Any business exporting their products or services, or thinking about doing so, is welcome to attend.
The first South Devon Network event will be held from 5.45pm to 8pm on Wednesday November 20 in the networking zone at the TDA Innovation Centre at Vantage Point, South Devon College in Paignton.
