TORQUAY United came from two goals down to lead into the last minute of this friendly.

But a goal at the death clinched a draw for the home side.

Gulls manager Martin Ling named a side with Martin Rice in goal, lining up behind Chris Leadbitter, Aaron Downes, Brian Saah, Tom Cruise, Damon Lathrope, Lloyd Macklin, Craig Easton, Danny Stevens, Nathan Craig, Rene Howe.

On the bench for the Gulls were Michael Poke, Kevin Nicholson, Lee Mansell, Ian Morris, Billy Bodin, Kirtys MacKenzie, Niall Thompson and Ashley Yeoman.

Exeter lined up Krysiak, Tully, Baldwin, Coles, Woodman, Sercombe, Oakley, Bennett, Davies, Cureton & Bauza.

City subs Evans, Doherty, Amankwaah, Frear, Nichols, O'Flynn, Keohane, Dawson, Moore-Taylor, Tillson & Chamberlain.

Midfielder Aaron Davies put the home side in front after 16 minutes with a chip over Rice and Jamie Cureton made it 2-0 after 24.

Lloyd Macklin reduced the arrears after 35 minutes, sprinting clear on a through ball from Nathan Craig to beat the home keeper.

Defender Aaron Downes levelled the scores for Torquay a minute before the break.

It was all-change for the Gulls after the interval.

They lined up for the second half Rice, Cruise, Saah, Downes, Nicholson, Easton, Macklin, Mansell, Morris, Bodin, Howe

Billy Bodin gave Torquay the lead for the first time with a goal after 50 minutes.

Niall Thompson hit the post for Torquay as the visitors pushed forward in search of a fourth.

Exeter equalised in the last minute through Irishman Jimmy Keohane.

A crowd of 1,551 were there to see it.
