GIG-GOERS are being encouraged to wear their best Christmas jumpers for an event at Dartington next week.

Local favourites Matthew and Me will be marking the end of an extraordinary year with a gig in the Great Hall on Wednesday.

The event, which includes live music from the band plus Drift Record Shop DJs, will take place in the place where the five-piece band first met while studying at Dartington College of Arts.

It will be their last gig of 2012, a year which saw them promote their first EP, tour extensively around the South West, organise a successful run of sell-out bespoke events both locally and in London, and crowdfund a new van.

Clash Music Magazine noted in a review that 'the Indie/folk market has new contenders'.

The band will be announcing who their special guest support acts are in the run up to the gig. Check their Facebook page for announcements.
