DOGS and their owners enjoyed a fundraising show for Animals in Distress at Ipplepen.

The annual Green Ears dog show and open day raised more than £3,000 for the animal charity.

More than 500 people supported the event which is a much-needed fundraiser for the charity.

Animal in Distress's Olympic-themed open day had to be cancelled earlier in the year because of bad weather.

Chief executive Geoff Wright said: "Events like this are very important for us.

"It is not just about raising funds, it is about giving people the opportunity to see what we do here, see the animals that we are looking after and the issues that we still face in the 21st century like dogs being abandoned or dumped."

Visitors enjoyed entertainment including a display by the Red Sparrows.
