THE Co-op has donated £1,847 towards a mobile hoist for Hannahs at Seale-Hayne through its Membership Community Fund. The hoist will be used by families staying in the new respite and short breaks accommodation at Seale-Hayne.

Andrew North, regional secretary for the Co-operative Bank, said: "Everyone at the Co-operative Membership Community Fund is delighted to be able to support Hannahs by donating a mobile hoist. The fantastic new respite and short breaks accommodation at Seale-Hayne is going to make a huge difference to a lot of families with a disabled family member and the mobile hoist is clearly vital to their stay there."

Hannahs fundraising manager, Emily Severn, said: "We are very grateful to the Co-op for their support. We are delighted with the addition to our new fully accessible accommodation. We know all families will be able to benefit from the accommodation which reflects Hannahs' ethos of true integration."

A team from Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd has raised £500 for the Dame Hannah Rogers Trust. The team is working on the construction of a new multi-storey car park at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. They kept chickens on site for a year and raised the money by selling eggs to the workforce.
