THE BOSS of a Newton Abbot-based disability charity met Samantha Cameron at a Downing Street reception.
Bronwen Hewitt, chief executive of Dame Hannah Roger's Trust, was a guest at the event hosted by the Prime Minister's wife.
The exclusive event paid homage to the work of the trust which supports and advocates the needs of children and adults with a range of disabilities.
Guests included politicians, public figures and supporters of the charity.
Ms Hewitt said: "We were humbled by the emotion with which Mrs Cameron spoke.
"Her experiences brought home the very need for the trust's existence.
"The reception was a true privilege and a moment we will all remember."
One of the UK's oldest charities, the Dame Hannah Roger's Trust works with disabled children, young people and adults.
As well as its base at Seale-Hayne, just outside Newton Abbot it also has a site in Ivybridge.
