EARLY bird Sophie Milford-Caddick was up with the lark to scoop first prize in our latest Lilo competition.
Eight-year-old Sophie set her alarm for 6am last Thursday to be sure she was the first to have her picture taken with our Great Gorilla, clutching a copy of that day's newspaper.
And with a little help from mum Hayley, she was the first to get to Paignton Green and then send her picture to us.
Hayley said: "The night before we were driving through Paignton and saw Lilo in his cage on the back of a van, so we knew he was on the move.
"Sophie was really keen to be the first to get down there.
"We've got most of the gorillas now. We even went up to Exeter to get the ones there."
Sophie wins a gorilla adoption courtesy of Paignton Zoo, along with a family ticket.
There are still five prizes of family tickets for the zoo to be won, so keep sending us pictures of yourselves with Lilo, who will be on Paignton Green for another week.
The Great Gorillas Trial is celebrating Paignton Zoo's 90th birthday and highlighting its work with endangered gorilla species.
