STAFF from Tesco Newton Abbot were among the Pink Army at Exeter's Westpoint to honour those whose lives have been touched by cancer – and to tell the disease to "jog on".

The annual 5k Race For Life saw almost 4,000 women – some joined by their children and their dogs – walk, run and dance their way around the course to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

And this year for the first time entrants had the option of also taking part in a 10k route.

Some 31 managers and staff from Tesco newton Abbot took part in the race with support from Stuart Furlonger, Nick Cranston, Paul Foster, Phil Greenaway (electrical and entertainment manager), Janette Parker (community champion) and various husbands, kids and even a Newfoundland Puppy.

The atmosphere throughout the morning was happy and bright and it is expected the race will have raised in excess of £120,000.
