MORE than 500 people enjoyed this year's English Riviera Pride big weekend.
People from around the country and even as far as Canada attended the event to celebrate diversity.
The weekend included a themed boat trip, organised by Greenway Ferry Pleasure Cruises, an evening of drag artists, dancing and fancy dress outfits and a street party in Meadfoot Lane with music from local artists, a Lady Gaga tribute, the Krankies and singer Hazell Dean.
A garden party was also held with live music and a barn dance.
The Riviera Sounds Ladies Harmony Singers, the Random Mackerel band and others performed.
A spokesman for the event said: "Events in previous years have also been very successful, but this year a completely new committee was formed to carry forward the mantle, starting with no money and having to fund raise by holding events throughout the year to be able to put on the weekend.
"A proportion of the money raised from the weekend will help towards next year's events, but most of it will be going to charities, including Rowcroft Hospice, the Eddystone Trust and Mermaids, a helpline for transgender children and their families."
