A PETITION to reinstate the mobile catering van at Cary Park is one of the issues to be debated at Torbay Council's meeting tonight.
A petition with 50 signatures has been submitted following the decision to withdraw the licence from Claire Hall, who was serving coffee and cake from her Atomic Cafe van at the new play park on a three-month trial.
The council is also being urged to find the cash needed to reverse the traffic flow in and out of Torquay. Labour Cllr Darren Cowell called on the council to recognise that improving direct access into the town will help encourage potential investors and stimulate regeneration.
Deputy mayor David Thomas is asking the council to call on the government for legislation to make so-called legal highs and any similar derivatives illegal.
The council is also discussing the setting up of a youth trust for the Bay to be run by the voluntary and community sector to take on the running of youth services.
The meeting at the Riviera Centre starts at 5.30pm
