AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a man fell to his death from the roof of a building on the outskirts of Newton Abbot.
The man, named locally as Paul Hoskin, died in the incident at Cremtor, a pet cremation business, at Forches Cross. Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating.
It is believed Mr Hoskin, who lived in Christow and was in his 40s, was working at Cremtor when the incident happened on Friday at 2.30pm.
A police spokesman said: "We are not treating the death as suspicious. We are working with the HSE in Plymouth and a joint investigation is ongoing."
A spokesman for the Health and Safety Executive said: "We are aware of this incident and are supporting a police-led investigation"
Cremtor did not want to comment.
The coroner has been informed and an inquest is expected to be opened this week.
