CURRENT and potential food bank volunteers are invited to a meeting in Brixham on Friday afternoon.
The purpose of the meeting is to form a committee and constitution to ensure the smooth running of the relaunched food bank.
The new name of The Brixham Food Bank also needs to be agreed upon.
Food bank general manager Steve Bates said: "We want to reform our Food Bank, based in the Town Hall in Brixham, and have a sound structure.
"We will need to elect a chairman, assistant or vice chairman, secretary and treasurer as well as some committee members.
"Other possible roles we could have are rota organiser, assistant secretary, delivery control and donations organiser, if we have enough volunteers.
"None of these positions will take up too much time and none will be without the support of the rest of the team. Many hands will make light work. Any ideas are also welcome.
"Even if you do not want to be on the committee I urge that you come to the meeting to vote and be a part of the process and be included in the decision making.
"Brixham needs this Food Bank and it needs you."
At the meeting, consideration will also be given to aligning with a reputable food bank provider to ensure that the food bank works effectively and is sustainable. Funding will also be on the agenda.
The meeting will take place at 5pm in Meeting Room 1 of Brixham Town Hall.
