Buses warning to drivers
SIGNS will be put up to deter motorists using Sherbourne Road bus interchange following a complaint to Newton Abbot Town Council.
The issue was reported to the police who then contacted the highways department.
Inspector David Hammond visited the site with county council representatives to try to find a way forward.
In response, Cllr Stuart Hughes, Devon County Council cabinet member for highways and transportation, said: "We have met with police and have agreed we will provide clearer signing and road markings, before the end of the financial year, stating that this route is for 'buses only'."
