Man attacked

A YOUNG man has been left with serious head and face injuries after being kicked in the head and body repeatedly outside a South Devon pub.

The 26 year old is still recovering from the serious attack outside a pub in Totnes.

Police in the town are appealing for information following the incident on Friday, October 12, at the upper end of the High Street in an area close to Cistern Street.

Police say the incident happened sometime between 8.30pm and midnight.

A spokesman said: "This incident, which involved kicks to the head, could have been disastrous and had much more serious consequences.

"After leaving a nearby pub for a cigarette, the 26-year-old man was allegedly pushed to the floor and then repeatedly kicked in the face and body.

"The victim sustained facial and head injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

"This was a serious and unprovoked attack on a young man who is still recovering from serious injuries."

It is believed one of the offenders was wearing a white or grey top and the victim was wearing a purple-coloured top at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the police by ringing the non-emergency 101 number quoting reference JS/12/1073.
