A NEWTON Abbot company has been recognised in the prestigious National Manufacturing Awards.

Paramount 21 Ltd was runner-up in the EEF/Pera Technology Operating Practices and Processes Award at the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards 2013. The category was sponsored by Pera Technology.

Paramount 21 Ltd was rewarded for its investment in new technology focused on customers' requirements and deriving good results for the bottom line, with future export potential.

Pera Technology chief executive, Paul Tranter, said: "Paramount 21 Ltd took the decision to invest in new technology and processes for all the right reasons and is now seeing a significant benefit to its business in a number of areas.

"While developing new technologies and processes involves an up-front investment in time and money, the long-term returns can be significant. Pera Technology works with businesses every day to realise these benefits, so we understand the amount of time and effort that has been put into Paramount 21 Ltd's latest innovation."
