A CATERING student who was given a chance to work at three of the country's top Michelin starred restaurants during a year-long work placement has started his second appointment.
Professional catering student Jonah Kellar has just finished a four-month work placement at The Elephant in Torquay as part of the Electrolux Chef Academy, which he won in July 2013.
Jonah will now spend four months working with Jonray and Peter Sanchez-Iglesias at Casamia in Bristol before taking up his final position at Tom Kitchin's restaurant, The Kitchin in Edinburgh.
Jonah said: "I will always remember my time at The Elephant as an educational one. I learnt so much working with chef Hulstone and the team, and had so much fun doing it! One of the most enjoyable things I did during my placement was going to the farm and picking all the flowers, salad leaves and vegetables for service the same day. My favourite dish to prepare was a samosa included two different types of beetroot — it looked amazing once it was finished."
