Devon-based financial claims management company EMCAS has announced the creation of 36 new jobs with its expansion into Taunton, with more roles anticipated for the New Year.
Paignton-based EMCAS was established in 2003 with 35 staff and has grown to almost 300 staff, across its head office and further bases at Torquay and Exeter. It specialises in reclaiming money over mis-sold financial products such as endowments and payment protection insurance, on behalf of members of the public.
The company's expansion into Taunton will see it establish a new call centre located within the former hospital, East Reach House. Work is already underway on the Grade II-listed building where an entire floor will be utilised to allow for future growth, with three call centre teams anticipated to come into play between November and January.
EMCAS chief executive Craig Bernhardt said: "The diverse and readily available pool of talent in and around Taunton will only help us to reinforce our position as the UK's flagship claims management company."
