A PAIGNTON man is recovering after being stabbed in Teignmouth.
The 32-year-old was taken to Torbay Hospital with a serious knife wound in his leg after an incident in the area of Clampitt Lane.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened around midday on Sunday, August 25.
The victim received treatment for the wound before being discharged.
Investigating officer DC Chris Empson said: "Police are now appealing for witnesses. Anyone who was in the area and who may have seen two males fighting or arguing between the Co-op and Clampitt Lane and Fore Street at around midday to please contact us.
"This was a busy summer Bank Holiday weekend and there would have been a lot of people in the area at the time of the incident."
A 55-year-old man from Teignmouth has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, interviewed and later released on police bail until October 3.
