BUSINESSMEN brothers from South Devon have picked up their MBEs from the Queen at Windsor Castle. Charles, known as Robert, and Richard Barr, joint managing directors of the Centrax group, went to receive the honour together last week.

Robert Barr, who lives in Torquay, said at the time of being awarded the MBE: "This is a great honour, personally, for the family and for the business."

The Newton Abbot engineering firm has been in operation since 1946.

Robert Barr has been honoured for services to aerospace and exports from the UK, while Richard, from Newton Abbot, has been honoured for services to the power generation industry and exports from the UK.
