Exmouth RNLI crews rescued two men from the river Exe in difficult conditions.
The two men had jumped onto a moored yacht as their 12ft dinghy sank beneath their feet.
Luckily one of the men had a mobile phone and was able to call for help.
The lifeboat went out at 6.17pm on Wednesday to bring the men to safety from a stretch of water near Cockwood harbour.
Conditions proved difficult for the crew with darkness falling and winds gusting at force six.
When the men were found they were taken to Exmouth Dock were paramedics were waiting to check them over.
