WEATHER forecasters are predicting snow for Torbay and South Devon on Friday this week.

Bad weather which has struck other parts of the country could be heading this way.

The Exeter-based Met Office is predicting a 60 per cent chance of snow in Torbay between 9am and 9pm on Friday.

The wind chill during the day will make temperatures feel well below freezing throughout the day.

Nice picture, though! I doubt if we'll see anything like that again any time soon. Sleet it is!

If you look on BBC Weather, it shows sleet from 9am to midday, snow midday, sleet from 3pm, rain from 5pm, shall I buy some skis?

"The Exeter-based Met Office is predicting a 60 per cent chance of snow in Torbay between 9am and 9pm on Friday." The regional forecast is a 60% chance of snow. The key word is 'regional'. The local forecast (i.e. the forecast for Torbay) is for sleet. Personally, I'll gladly settle for neither.
