How the South Devon Business Excellence Awards can help YOUR business

JUST how local employers can boost their prospects for 2013 by entering the latest South Devon Business Excellence awards is to be outlined at today's Torbay Business Forum Meeting.

Justin Hall, from the Herald Express, will be explaining how easy and how rewarding it is to enter the sixth Herald Express Business Excellence Awards.

The awards have been launched in partnership with Torbay Council and the Torbay Development Agency.

South Devon College is again sponsoring the awards as an Associate Partner with the Herald Express.

The Business Advantage Centre at South Devon College is also a category sponsor as is the Pavey Group which is sponsoring the Best in Customer Excellence Award.

The meeting is being held from 9.30am to around 12.30pm at the Riviera International Conference Centre.

Also speaking will be Capt Kevin Mowat of Tor Bay Harbour Authority, Jim Portus from the South West Fish Producers' Organisation, and Angela George from IMS Marketing.

There will be an update on the Business Forum's plans for the coming year.

Best Social Enterprise and Community Impact Award

Best Sales and Marketing

Best in Customer Service Award (sponsored by Pavey Group)

Best Green Business Award (sponsored by South Devon College)

Best Tourism and Leisure Award

Monday January 21.

Shortlist announcement:

Thursday, February 14

Awards ceremony:

Friday, March 15

The winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony on Friday, March 15, at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay.
