WHEN Ken Rudge (pictured) decided to sell the business he had built-up in Torbay he started looking for another challenge. He has now opened a new branch of Fosse Healthcare covering Devon.

The business, which specialises in providing specialist staffing support to care homes, is based at Paignton's Vantage Point Innovation Centre and is already looking to take on additional administration help.

Ken said: "I'm enjoying the challenge, working with clients and carers. My previous business was also customer-service driven and based on building relationships, as is this. So far it's going very well. It's progressing at a good pace and I'm very pleased."

Fosse Healthcare, which also has other branches in Warwickshire and Leicestershire, will cover the whole Devon region, providing staff for care homes and helping to support the staff with NVQ training in health and social care and other areas such as moving and handling and food hygiene.

Torbay Mayor, Gordon Oliver, said: "It's always encouraging hearing about new businesses being launched in Torbay and doing well."
