Dartmouth Academy has found the perfect way to celebrate Christmas - putting pictures by its pupils and students on the school’s Christmas Cards!
The cards have been produced to raise funds for Children in Need, and have already proved very popular at the school’s Christmas fayre, held as part of the festivities for Candlelit Dartmouth.
The children entered a design competition in which they could not only get their design on the cards, but could earn points for their house! The winning designs of the competition were Grace Bowman in Year Five, Pablo Garcia in Year Seven and Stuart Smith in Year Eleven. These designs are being sold in packs of six, with two of each design for £2.00.
Suzi Wooldridge, communications manager at the Academy said the competition had been a big success: enthusing the students and resulting in top-quality cards.
“This was a great event to get everyone excited about Christmas and raise some funds for Charity,” she said. “Well done to everyone who took part and to the winners of course. We are really pleased with how they have sold already and hope to sell many more in the run up to Christmas – they are wonderful cards and they will bring in funds for Children in Need.”
