PAIGNTON was packed over the weekend as the town played host to the annual Bikers Make A Difference festival.

The BMAD event saw thousands turn out at Paignton Green to enjoy the music, attractions and stunts which were put on to wow visitors.

Chairman of BMAD, Andy Hobbs, said: "The whole of Paignton Esplanade was packed with bikes and on both days we had to park hundreds of others on the green itself. Paignton beach was starting to look like an inviting prospect for a bike park at times."

"A great turn out meant we beat last year's total of £15,500 and raised an incredible £16,079 for our various supported charities."

BMAD marked the tenth anniversary of the festival this year, pulling out all the stops.

Mr Hobbs added: "A big thank you must go out to our supporters, Anderton and Rowlands Fair and Martin Strange from Babbacome Inn, along with others."
