Torbay MP Adrian Sanders has welcomed the announcement of reduced South West Water Bills from April this year.

As the rest of the country faced an increase of around 3.5 per cent, South West Water customers will see a fall in their bills of 7.3 per cent thanks to the Coalition Government's pledge to redress the balance between bills in Devon and Cornwall and the rest of the country.
This fall will amount to £50 off bills for 2013/14 once inflation is taken into account. Adrian is continuing to urge customers to switch to water meters where they can, a move that can reduce annual bills by up to £400.

Mr Sanders said: "Reducing water bills in the region has been a Lib Dem priority ever since the industry was privatised almost 25 years ago. Thanks to our participation in the Coalition, we have finally achieved this goal and I look forward to campaigning for more support for South West Water customers in the future."
