What is the Torbay Raspberry Pi Jam?

THE next Torbay Raspberry Pi jam is on Saturday March 8.

And for those of us who don’t know what a Raspberry Pi jam is, it’s a small, simple, cheap computer designed to teach children the basics of computer science and programming.

Because the Raspberry Pi has input and output pins it can be used to make robots and helicopters by connecting it to other hardware, boards and control motors.

The next meeting for families, children and young people is from 1pm to 3pm at Paignton Library and Information Centre.

Thank you for adding that Collene, very helpful :). Please feel free to come along to the next Pi jam in March. Maybe the HE could do a bigger article on it or a better write up.
