HERE comes the rain - the Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for Friday and Saturday, with Torbay named among the areas affected.
The warning says periods of heavy and persistent rain are likely across South West England and Wales during Friday and Saturday, and the public should be aware that there is a risk of localised disruption due to flooding.
The warning is valid from 12.05am on Friday until 11.59pm on Saturday.
The Met Office statement read: "Bands of rain will become slow-moving across parts of the UK on Friday and Saturday.
"Some locally heavy and persistent rainfall is expected, particularly across Wales and parts of England.
"This may cause some flooding from rivers or surface water. There is still significant uncertainty as to where and when the heaviest rainfall and greatest impacts will occur, so this Alert will be updated on Thursday."
