TORQUAY United are set to add 19-year-old striker Adebayo Azeez to the squad after agreeing to sign him from Charlton Athletic in a one-month youth loan.
Azeez is an England Under-19 international and blessed with outstanding pace.
He came through the youth system at Charlton, making his debut for the club as a substitute in the FA Cup last season.
He has also enjoyed brief loan spells with Wycombe Wanderers and Leyton Orient.
The deal will be completed on Friday morning and Azeez is expected to go straight into the United squad for our weekend trip to Newport.
‘’Ade is an exciting young forward who can play anywhere across the top,’’ said United assistant manager Chris Brass.
‘’He has league experience after spending time on loan at Wycombe and Leyton Orient. He’s got an abundance of pace and gives us something different.
‘’It’s a good time to bring somebody into the club and we’re always looking to strengthen. It should also aid his development and we’re grateful to Charlton for allowing us to bring him here.’’
