Torbay Mayor Gordon Oliver is to stage his fourth Mayor's forum with a theme of regeneration and job creation in the Bay on Thursday October 3 between 6pm and 9pm at the Rosetor Room at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay.
The forum will have a different format with attendees invited to a 45-minute tour of the newly reopened Torre Abbey at 6pm.
The Forum will then commence, back at the Riviera Centre from 7pm covering amongst other topics Inward Investment updates, the new Geopark Conference 2016, Devon Studio School and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Unit Education and Employment, South Devon Link Road Update, Abbey Sands Development, Torquay Pavilion and Marina car park Development.
Mayor Oliver said, "I am very pleased to be hosting this fourth event and have the opportunity to showcase Torbay and its achievements; including the wonderful restoration of Torre Abbey. The last forum was very well attended and we hope that by again holding this forum in the evening more local people will be able to attend.
"The evening will be an opportunity to hear about the council's progress on our key plans and key partnership activities to regenerate and improve job prospects for the people of Torbay as well as learn about some of the new plans we have coming up in 2013/14."
