PAIGNTON-BASED workwear and uniform maker Urban Design UK is hoping to grow its business in 2014 by tapping into the SME sector.

The company, based on the Trojan Industrial Estate, is launching its on-line ordering website and also a new marketing campaign which it hopes will attract an increasing amount of orders.

The company was set up by James Chilcott in 2013 initially based at his home with just a laptop, phone and some contacts.

James explained: "The aim of the business was to supply businesses and customers with a one-stop shop for all their workwear/staff uniform and garment requirements.

"Since starting we have been lucky enough to have some fantastic new clients, not just in Torbay but companies as far as London.

"We now operate from a small industrial unit and have invested in the latest design, print and embroidery equipment.

"This means that no part of the order has to be out-sourced as all work is done in-house."

He added: "The launch of the website is designed for the SME sector.

"Companies do not have time for lengthy meetings to discuss their requirements so all can be done online very quickly and simply."

Is this news...a back bedroom company plans to grow and expand?? Have you seen their website? These guys are real amatures compared to most in the uniform and workwear industries. From the image in the article they are using cheap equipment which will inevitably produce poor quality garments.
