THEY'RE numero uno, top of the pops. Torbay rock band These Reigning Days have topped the charts in Italy.
Now the hit-makers are heading off to Poland to play in front of half a million people before coming home to join a Britpop pioneer on stage on Paignton Green.
The band's new single Too Late sits on top of the Italian MTV rock chart, leaving the likes of Biffy Clyro, Miles Kane and fellow South Devon musicians Muse in its wake.
The track features a video shot in Torquay and St Marychurch and has received airplay on local and national radio.
The three-piece band made up of Dan Steer, Jonny Finnis and Joe Sansome (pictured) recently supported rock giants Bon Jovi in Milan's famous San Siro stadium, giving them a huge boost in Italy.
Now they are on their way to Poland to perform along with Kaiser Chiefs and Enter Shikari in front of a crowd numbering half a million at the Polish Woodstock festival. Then, on August 13, they will headline the regatta's fireworks night line-up on a bill which also includes another chart-topper — Ocean Colour Scene's Steve Cradock — along with up-and-coming singer/songwriter Owen Penrice.
