LOCAL McDonald's franchisee Gregg Fox and crew from Lawes Bridge restaurant in Torbay joined forces with Sergeant Scott Bellingham, PC Trevor Thomas, PCO Ollie Abercrombie and WPCO Kayley Fox to lend their support to the Woodend Project, for the second year running.
The 24-strong McDonald's volunteer team cultivated a number of allotments which will be used by the local community to grow fresh produce. Gregg has committed to sponsoring two of the plots which he plans to gift either to a local school or pensioner group.
Gregg said: "We are thrilled to have been able to show our support to such a great project. I'd like to thank the Woodend Project and Torquay Tool Hire, Devon Garden Machinery and Brandon Tool Hire for enabling us get involved in the activity and providing equipment on the day. Not to mention all my staff and volunteers for their hard work. It's vital that we all do our bit for our local community and it's great to see the difference we can make when we all pull together."
