LOCAL Estate Agents Williams Hedge have just been named as the 'Best New Estate Agents' in the UK completing a fantastic 2012 for one of Torbay's newest firms.

The glittering 'Negotiator Awards' ceremony (The Oscars of Estate Agency) was held at the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane with over 500 property professionals attending the event which was hosted by TV star, comedian and impressionist Jon Culshaw.

The UK's premier awards for Estate Agents celebrate industry excellence, entrepreneurialism, innovative and business acumen within the property sector.

The awards were judged by a panel of industry experts, including the Property Ombudsman.

Williams Hedge, who launched their agency in January of last year were described as an outstanding business who had already expanded from modest beginnings to become a market leader in their area through exceptional service.

Williams Hedge is owned and run by Directors Jon Williams and Mark Hedge who commented: "We are absolutely thrilled and extremely proud to win this National Award and our achievements are testament to the exceptional hard work, long hours and professionalism contributed by our amazing team here in Paignton.

"We were the only Estate Agent in the South West to be nominated for the Best Newcomer category and we then faced incredibly strong competition from all over the UK.

"To have earned the title 'Best New Estate Agent' in the UK is a great privilege and we are proud to return to Torbay with the accolade and plan to build on our success in 2013".

The National Award follows on from Williams Hedge being named as the Best New Business in South Devon at the Herald Express Business Excellence awards earlier this year.
